Course Description: This workshop is designed to help people working in social services to create healthy practices and boundaries for their professional lives. The workshop will explore strategies for managing work stress, secondary trauma, and avoiding compassion fatigue. There will also be an opportunity to design a sustainable self-care plan which will help social service workers enjoy a more productive work/life balance.

Presented by: Rachel Crowe, MSW, LCSW

Rachel Crowe, MSW, LCSW, is an Assistant Adjunct Professor at Saint Louis University School of Social Work and the Senior Professional Instructor for the St. Louis Crisis Nursery. Rachel has been practicing in the field of social work for 21 years and specializes in teaching, training, and providing support to practicing clinicians in the field and students studying Social Work. Rachel also is trained through Saint Louis DBT in the Clinical Modalities of Dialectical Behavioral Therapies and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapies, integrating these skills within the work that she does in all service areas.
